Referrals & Fees
Patients are able to see me privately or through one of the public health funded schemes including Medicare and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

A standard therapy session is 50 minutes. For new patients, I offer a longer initial appointment of 75 minutes. I strive to provide accessible psychotherapy at a rate lower than the Australian professional organizations' recommendations. The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2025-2026 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $318; while the Australia Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) recommends at $330 for 2025-2026. Please contact me for further information about my fees.

Private Referrals/Private Health Cover
You are able to see me privately and pay session fees in full without a doctor’s referral. Private Health Funds cover psychology sessions and you may be entitled to a rebate depending on your provider and level of cover. Please check with your Private Health provider regarding options available to you.
Doctor’s Referral/Medicare
You may be able to access Medicare rebates (currently at $145.25 for 2025-2026) per session if you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year) under the Australian Government's Better Access initiative. If you have reached your Medicare Safety Net threshold, your rebate will be higher. If you wish to access Medicare rebates for treatment, you will need to be referred by your GP or psychiatrist.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
I see patients on a case-by-case basis who have been approved for NDIS funding for psychological services (i.e. capacity building and to improve functional abilities). I see patients who are both plan-managed and self-managed under NDIS.

Other Providers Not Accepted
Unfortunately I am not available to provide services under other third-party providers such as Work Cover, the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), the Australian Defence Force (ADF) or other third-party companies. I also do not see patients under the Employment Assistance Program (EAP) services.

Cancellation Policy
I observe a firm cancellation/non-attendance policy as I offer sessions on a weekly or fortnightly basis, and will offer you a regular ongoing appointment time that is reserved specifically for you on a long-term basis to ensure consistency in your treatment (e.g., a weekly session occurring on the same day at the same time each week). To minimize the negative impact on your therapeutic progress where sessions are delayed or disrupted due to cancellation or non-attendance, cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled appointment will incur a 50% fee. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled time or non-attendance on the day will incur the full 100% fee.
Please note that cancellation fees are not claimable under Medicare or private health insurance. I am happy to meet via Telehealth if you are unable to attend in person on a particular day. If we can reschedule to another time in the same week (rather than to cancel), I am happy to accommodate this as well. This would depend on my availability and if we are able to find a mutually suitable time within that same week; otherwise, the cancellation fee stated above would still apply.

Thank you for your understanding and consideration of this policy.
